Dear blog,
The long anticipated weekend had finally arrived. I woke up with a smile because i was going to have a fun day at Wild Wild Wet with my cousins, my parents and my siblings. We arrived at around noon and the first attraction we went to was the 'Shiok' river. I had a just learned to swim recently and i was happy to have had a chance to try out my swimming techniques. After many rides and more excitement, we had a late lunch at the hawker center opposite Wild Wild Wet. I had half a barbecued chicken with chicken rice and delicious gravy. The chicken was sweet and juicy. It was also economical because the portion was large and it was fairly cheap. Afterwards, I went to my cousin's house to play her Nintendo Wii. We played Resident Evil 4 for a while but then we switched to wrestling after we got bored. All in all today was a fantastic day even though i went home really tired.

Dear blog,
Today was a sad occasion after yesterday's high because my maid who had worked for me for two years left for her home and i had to start to get used to a new maid. I followed my mother and my younger brother to the airport. My sister could not come along because she had CCAs on that day. After a tearful goodbye, my maid entered the airport gates as we watched her slowly becoming nothing but a joyful memory in our mind's eye. Afterwards to wash away the sad thoughts of someone leaving from our lives, we went to 'Popeye's' and had delicious fried chicken, warm biscuits with gravy and my personal favourite, tasty cajun fries. The happy thought and the anticipation of delicious food almost automatically took priority in my mind, partially blocking the sad memories of that day. After the interesting day at the airport, i went home, finished up my homework and went straight to sleep. Which was rather rare because i rarely manage to fall asleep straight away without tossing and turning in my bed.

Dear blog,
Today, was a rather interesting day because it was not only the day of the fire drill which we have been preparing for at the constant rewuests of Mr.Chia but also the birthday celebration of two very special people in my life. These people are my grandfather and my uncle. Their birthdays are one after the other and therefore, we decided to celebrate them at the same time. This was the one of the very special occasions a year where all my family come together. We went to a restaurant called Seafood International for the gathering. The food at the restaurant was rather expensive but nonetheless, we chose to dine there because my grandfather enjoyed the food there and it was not often that we had a chance to do so anyway. I could see the look of joy on my grandfather's face not only because it was his birthday and he received many presents but because he was happy watching the entire family together. As we finished our last course, the waiters served the cake with an adaptation of a popular song.
